MOB Assistant

Should a man accidentally fall overboard? What shall be done by those who are on board?

Well, if the first thing you do is run to the boat build-in MOB button or grab the walkie-talkie, then you are doing it all wrong.

When any crew member sees someone fallen off the ship into the water, the only thing that matters is to keep the person overboard in sight. Running to the MOB button, radio communication or pressing the DSC button on the radio only distracts and confuses both skipper and team. Basically, you don’t have time for this.

However, there is no doubt that having GPS coordinates of the MOB event along with the ability to have the right direction to look for a fallen person is a big advantage. Thanks to the MOB Assistant you have it right on your wrist.

How does it work?

Assume you have already installed the app and set up MOB Assistant’s complication. There are a bunch of different sizes available so you will find one fits to your Watch Face most.

Press MOB Assistant on your Watch Face without losing sight of the person. That's it, literally one tap.

From now on, the MOB position, distance and exact compass course towards it is shown on watch. You are on the right course when the RADAR turns green and the MOB icon appears in the highlighted sector.

Please be aware that the compass course feature is supported by Apple Watch series 5 and 6 only.

The app informs you when approaching the MOB position closer than 30 meters.

In addition, exact GPS coordinates and the event time always present on the app's info screen.

MOB Assistant application works stand-alone on Apple Watch and does not require connection to iPhone, iPad or network coverage.
